Never played a game like this before, it's lots of fun and hilarious!! Rather simple beginning, just eat all the stuff that's smaller than you and stay away from the big stuff, at least 'til you get bigger. Wow do you get bigger! Can't believe the stuff this thing can consume. Great gameplay, selectable play modes and a whole lotta fun. When my husband can't get me off this game ... I just tell him it's hotmomma's fault - because she bought it for her son, then she ended up getting addicted. If you want something different, give it a try. Sure glad I did. 5 Stars
awesome!!! it's a very good challenge with lots of levels to eat your way through unlike the online game that only has 8 levels
Great fun, challenging without overtaxing your brain, thoroughly enjoyable. A very simple concept that I didn't think would have legs but I've played the whole thing today and wish there were more levels (not that it's a short game or anything). Also is proving popular with my 4 year old in the casual mode. Really enjoyed every second.
I bought this for my 7 yr. old grand daughter several months ago and she loves it! She keeps going back and starting over. Because it gets progressively harder my husband will finish the game for her when it gets to difficult. He enjoys it as much as she does.
greatly enjoy playing in relaxed mode. in this mode I always win, but definitely had to work for it. great fun eating people and their houses! The only thing I wanted was more levels! Eating things was great and making blockers blow up was fantastic!
This game seriously needs to be made smartphone and tablet compatible. It's so much fun just sweeping the blob across the screen, and I couldn't help but laugh at the stuff it ends up eating. The comic book like inter-titles also add to it. The elevator music like audio took away from it for me, but was kind of a funny dissonance (like how gangsta rap comprised the soundtrack to Office Space.) All in all, I recommend this game; it's incredibly easy to play, switching between keyboard and mouse control is seamless and it's simple enough controls to play on a laptop computer. I hope to see more games in this series!
If you've got good mouse control and enjoy perfectly silly story lines, this is for you! Munching and growing you move your way through a delightfully zany planet dodging larger and and eating smaller objects/animals/people as you go. No serious concepts or high ideals, just lotsa fun!
I overlooked this game when it first came out because the screenshots did not look very interesting. Well, the graphics are fun, but that's not the point of the game. The entertainment is in moving your "blob" back and forth across the screen so it can eat whatever comes it's way. And as it fuels up, it can eat larger things: candy, test tubes, lab mice, lab kitty (that gave me the creeps at first when it squealed!), rocks, turtles, dinosaurs, skeletons, whatever comes its way. It's an eating machine. And just like the saying goes, "you are what you eat," your little blob becomes a big blob and even changes color to match its last munch. This is mindless entertainment, clean, and no nastiness, as the blob eats simply by absorbing the object. I have to offer a caution: the second time I played this, I was swinging my blob around the screen pretty fast on an eating binge, and was completely surprised to get hit with dizziness. You can play without a timer, so it's not necessary to be slinging your blob around at warp speed; it just gets to be so darned addictive.
The best of this type of game: the rules are simple, the story is really fun, and there's enough variation in play to keep things interesting. Plus - I just got to eat a T-rex!
I rarely write a review, but I thought this game was worth it. I just spent a reasonable length of time (part of a Sunday afternoon) playing the entire game from beginning to end! I don't usually play these types of games, but every now and then I find one that I'm tempted to buy in order to play it to the end. The graphics were detailed enough to make it nice to look at, but I did turn off the music (I turn off most music for most games because I find it too repetitious). This was one of those games that I would describe as silly fun. Great for kids and adults alike, if all you want is entertainment that isn't scary or dark - like many popular games these days. It was fun eating stuff through the ages from the tiniest microbe to the whole universe. I enjoyed this one enough that I'm tempted to go back and try the original "Tasty Planet" and I most certainly will play this game many times over.
